Chilcotin Topographic Maps
These topo maps come from Natural Resources Canada. You can find them for the whole country at their site, but I’ve collected ones that you need for the Chilcotin.
Remember that if you print a copy from one of these files you can’t trust that the scale will be reproduced correctly, in that you can’t trust that 1″ will equal 50,000 feet. However the graphic scale will still be accurate.
Use this large map to figure out what smaller map you need. The maps are divided into the series 92 N, 92 O, 93 B, 93 C and 93 F. Each of these are sub-divided further into 16 smaller divisions. I’ve tried to include every map that covers the Chilcotin region. You can look at the big map to decide which number/letter combination you need, and then look in that smaller map to determine which individual map you need.
I’ve also organized the individual maps by number, name, and attached a list of significant geographic features. The map number and name are in bold in each case.
Use this map to figure out what precisely what maps in the 92 N section you need. 92/N is the southwest Chilcotin, from Chilko Lake to the coast.
